RESOLUTION NO. 6814-93 BY: Gallagher, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to file an application and enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the purpose of acquiring funds through the Office of Planning and Environmental Services, for the Transpor- tation Enhancement Program. WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 established funding for local Transportation Enhance- ment Activities, and WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood proposes to apply for grant funds for the Clifton Boulevard Planters Installation to enhance highway beautification and scenic enjoyment, pursuant to the Act, and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Act, an application for funds has been prepared which contains a description of activi- ties to be undertaken, a budget, and an implementation schedule, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to file an application for $658,338.00 and if awarded to complete all documentation as deemed by the Law Director to be in the public interest with the Ohio Department of Transportation for receiving these funds. Section 2. That the City of Lakewood hereby requests that the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Planning and Environmental Services, consider its application to fund the project. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of the Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this COuncil anj~any of its committees that resulted in sUch formal act~ere in, meetings open to the public in compliance with al ~uirem~nts. ~dopted: ~~~,, i~I ,/~ ~'~ ' Approved:~/7; /f ~J MAYOR
