RESOLUTION NO. 6815-93 <br /> <br />BY: .Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to file an <br />application and enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department <br />of Development for the .purpose of acquiring funds through the <br />Division of Energy's Cities and Counties Energy Conservation <br />Program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, considerable electrical energy is used for creating <br />the ice at Winterhurst Arena, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, considerable electrical energy is used to overcome <br />the absence of a Low Emissivity Ceiling at Winterhurst, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, partial funding for the installation of a Low <br />Emissivity Ceiling may be available through the Department of <br />Development, Office of Energy Efficiency, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed <br />to file an application for a rebate of $15,000, and if awarded to <br />complete all documentation as deemed by the Law Director to be in <br />the public interest with the Ohio Department of Development for <br />receiving this rebate. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the City of Lakewood hereby requests that <br />the Ohio Department of Development, Office of Energy Efficiency, <br />consider its application to fund the project. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of the Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this ordinance were adopted in an open .meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Counc~-f-~my of its <br />committees that resulted in such fo_rma_l_ a~/~fo~ ~er~ in m~tings <br />open to the public in compliance wi~.rement~.~~ <br /> <br /> CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
