RESOLUTION NO. 6817-93 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A PESOLUTION to establish a Tree Task Force to advise <br />the Director of Public Works in the planning of tree placement <br />within the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood is a city of trees as well as the <br />City of Homes, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been designated Tree City, U.S.A. <br />for many years, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, many citizens are concerned about new tree <br />plantings and with the health and maintenance of aging trees on <br />the City's tree lawns and on private property; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Tree Task Force be formed for 1993 <br />to be composed of volunteer city residents for the purpose of: <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />Identifying trees which need trimming or removal; <br />Identifying areas where trees need to be planted to <br />beautify the neighborhood; <br />Educating residents on care, selection and maintenance of <br />trees; <br />Reporting its findings and recommendations to the Director <br />of Public Works. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Tree Task Force organize at a <br />public meeting on April 7, 1993, at 7:30 P.M. in City Council <br />Chambers to be co-chaired by Councilmembers Nancy J Roth and <br />Pamela J. Smith. <br /> <br />Section 3.
