RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6832-93 <br /> <br />BY: Bo$cia, Gallagher, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Stuart A. Saferin for his public <br />service and as Prosecutor for the city of Lakewood and extending <br />sincerest congratulations on his appointment as Judge of the Cuyahoga <br />County Court of Common Pleas. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stuart (Stu) A. Saferin has provided leadership <br /> and distinguished service as a lawyer for 18 years and as a civic <br /> leader, including holding Office in B'nai Brith and the Legal Aid <br /> Society of Cleveland, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stu has served Lakewood with distinction as Prose- <br />cutor from Which office he was appointed by Governor George Voinovich <br />as Judge, Court of Common Pleas, General Division, Cuyahoga County, <br />on APril ~l, 1993, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ it is fitting and proper that St%'s civic and <br />public service and appointment to judicial office be~given public <br />cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend <br />to the Honorable Stuart A. Saferin their commendation and apprecia- <br />tion, and that. of the citizens of the Lakewood community for his <br />civic leadership and Public service as Prosecutor for the city of <br />Lakewood and further extend sincere congratulations and best wishes <br />in his new office as Judge of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common <br />Pleas. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolu- <br />tion to Judge Stuart A.
