PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR RESOLUTION <br /> NO. 6840-93 REFERRED TO <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ON 6-7-93. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6840-93 <br /> <br />AMENDED <br /> <br /> BY: Gallagher, George, Gibbons, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION recommending that the City enter into a <br />contract with City Architecture in the amount of <br />$59,400.00 for the design and construction of a service <br />garage to be located near the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has previously determined to build <br />a service garage for the sewer and water departments by <br />adoption of Ordinance No. 12-91 and approved the sale of <br />municipal bonds and notes to finance the construction by <br />adoption of Ordinance Nos. 52-91 and 53-91, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 6-93, requests for <br />proposals were solicited and six bids were received from <br />architecture firms for the design and construction of a <br />service garage to be located near the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. The three lowest firms were interviewed by the <br />City Engineer as to their qualifications, staffing levels, <br />workload and to review their understanding of project <br />scope, consultant services required and reimbursable <br />expenses allowed, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommended and the <br />Professional Services Committee concurred on April 26, <br />1993, that the contract should be awarded to City <br />Architecture in an amount not to exceed $59,400.00; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. Council approves the actions of the <br />Professional Services Committee and recommends that the <br />Director of Public Works enter into a contract in an <br />amount not to exceed $59,400.00 with City Architecture for <br />the design and construction of a service garage to be <br />located near the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Said <br />contract to contain such terms and conditions as the <br />Director of Law deems to be in the best interest of the <br />City. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
