RESOLUTION NO. 6862-93 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, Gibbons, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> ~A RESOLUTION to commend Eleanor Temple O'Sullivan for her <br />contributions as a seventy-year resident of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, born April 9, 1923 in Lakewood, Ohio, Mrs. <br />O'Sullivan graduated in the Lakewood High School Class of 1941, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, having worked in a defense plant during World War <br />II, Eleanor then engaged her energies as the beloved wife of <br />Neal and mother of nine children, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, aside from that full time career, Eleanor <br />O'Sullivan served as driver for the Lakew°od YMCA as well as for <br />the Lakewood schools, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Eleanor O'Sullivan also contributed her time and <br />efforts as a volunteer on behalf of Lakewood Hospital and St. <br />James Parish in its Bingo program, as teacher of reading and <br />computers as well as devoting time to the Campfire Girls as their <br />group leader, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, her fundraising efforts for various charitable <br />organizations including her work as a member of F.I.S.H. and the <br />Lakewood Christian Service Center have deserved due recognition, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Eleanor's zeal for fun and sport is marked by her <br />nomination as champion in the 1991 Cleveland YMCA Basketball <br />shootoff as well as her enjoyment of gardening and bird watching, <br />culminating in what this Council would celebrate as the fullness <br />of life all to the benefit of her family, friends and residents <br />of the City of Lakewood; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That this Council and the Mayor for and on <br />behalf of the citizens of this community hereby extend our <br />appreciation, commend and acknowledge the many accomplishments <br />and contributions of seventy-year resident of Lakewood, Eleanor <br />Temple O'Sullivan. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
