RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6878-93 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br />George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Jeanne E. Halladay for her <br />eight years of service to the Lakewood Community Care Center, <br />five of which she served as Director; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the greatest resource of any community is its <br />children, and Jeanne E. Halladay, through her dedication, <br />creativity, and caring, has enriched the lives of Lakewood's <br />children and thus, the City of Lakewood itself; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during her twenty years of early child care <br />teaching~ and administrative work, Jeanne's talent, enthusiasm, <br />gentleness, patience, humor and zest for life have made her a <br />role model for the benefit of not only our youth but also of her <br />colleagues; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jeanne has also devoted her valuable time and <br />effort to other community service, having served as a co-founder <br />and past President of the Lakewood Junior Women's Club, board <br />member of the Commission on Aging, PTA president, and as a lector <br />and volunteer Sunday school teacher at her church; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the children and City of Lakewood have gained <br />safety and strength through Jean's efforts in the fight to <br />eradicate all forms of child abuse; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon this, the occasion of her retirement, we <br />honor Jeanne.who will undoubtedly continue to enrich the lives of <br />those with whom she comes in contact as she composes the next <br />chapter in her life; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to Jeanne E. Halladay its commendation, and that of all <br />the citizens of the Lakewood for her eight years of service with <br />the Lakewood Community Care Center, with five of those years as <br />Director, and further that this Council and Mayor wish her <br />continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in her <br />retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to Jeanne E. Halladay, 17700 Lakewood Heights <br />Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, ~his Resolu- <br />tion. be spread upon the minutes <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
