RESOLUTION NO. 6949-94 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Boscia, Flannery, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the Lakewood High School Lady Rangers <br />Varsity Basketball Team for their exceptional 1993-1994 season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lady Rangers have recently completed an outstanding <br />season in which they claimed second place in the Lake Erie League, were <br />their sectional and district champions, and earned a berth in the regional <br />semi-finals at Willard gymnasium as one of Ohio's "Sweet 16"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 1994 Lady Rangers put together an overall record of 20 <br />wins and 5 losses, which included a 14-game winning streak; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the team, consisting of Leslie Favre, Gretchen <br />Heideloff, Christine Lamparyk, Carrie Pulling, Mandy Thoburn, <br />Christine Czechanski, Danielle Mueller, Noreen Eddy, Katie Olson, <br />Jessica Barnhart, Summer Erb, and Annie Stahlheber, achieved their <br />successes under the leadership of head coach Marc Lewis; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lady Rangers through untiring hard work, <br />perseverance, determination, talent, and teamwork, have brought to life the <br />spirit of the purple and gold at its finest, and have brought distinction and <br />honor not only to themselves, but to the entire Lakewood community; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to the <br />Lady Rangers and their coach, Marc Lewis, its commendation, as well as that <br />of all citizens of Lakewood, for their outstanding athletic achievement during <br />the 1993-1994 basketball season. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Coach Marc <br />Lewis, Lakewood High School, 14100 Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio <br />44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~~l ~/! /~ J©~-/~ ~O~d~ <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
