RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6952-94 <br /> <br />BY: Bosaia, Flann~%y, <br /> Roth, S¢~.i~, Smith <br /> <br /> A Resolution to commend the St. Edward High School Eagles <br />varsity wrestling team on ~heir outstanding 1994 season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, St. Edward Eagles crowned three state champs in the <br />the Division I state championship in Fairborn, and <br /> <br /> Whereas, Eddie Jayne finished the season 34-0, giving him 95 <br />victories in a row, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sam Neider became the first Ohio wrestler to <br />register pins in all his. tournament matches from the section. <br />through state, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ben Harts defeated the defending state champ <br />keeping St. Ed's in the r~!no~ng for a possible ret~rn to team <br />title status early in the championship round, and <br /> <br /> ~REAS, the St. Edward Eagles, through their strength and <br />faith have brought distinction and honor not only to themselves <br />but to the entire community; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section i. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to <br />the St. Edward Eagles its commendation, and that of all the <br />citizens of the Lakewood CommuniL~/ for their outstanding athletic <br />achievements during the 1994 High School Wrestling Season.. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />Resolution to the St. Edward High School Eagles Wrestling Team, <br />13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of <br />this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDE <br /> <br />CLERK ' <br />MAYOR" -- <br /> <br /> <br />
