RESOLUTION NO. 6965-94 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood a deed for a parcel of land abutting property currently owned by the City for purposes of constructing a parking lot in the vicinity of Lakewood City Center. WHEREAS, this Council has identified a need to alleviate on- street parking congestion in the neighborhoods surrounding Lakewood City Center; and WHEREAS, FAST FOOD OPERATIONS, Inc., an Ohio corporation, is the owner ~of a parcel of land bearing Permanent Parcel Number 314-01-03 abutting property owned by the City of Lakewood; and WHEREAS, FAST FOOD OPERATIONS, Inc. desires to transfer as a gift a portion of said parcel to the City of Lakewood; and WHEREAS, the City desires to accept this gift of real property for purposes of developing a parking lot which will alleviate on-street parking congestion in the neighborhoods surrounding Lakewood City Center; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to accept as a gift from FAST FOOD OPERATIONS, Inc., an Ohio corporation, the deed to a portion of a parcel of land bearing Permanent Parcel Number 314-01-03, more fully described in attached Exhibit A. Section 2. That the Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to cause said quit-claim deed to be filed and recorded for record with the recorder of Deeds and Records of Cuyahoga County. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
