RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6965-94 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to accept as a gift to <br />the City of Lakewood a deed for a parcel of land abutting <br />property currently owned by the City for purposes of constructing <br />a parking lot in the vicinity of Lakewood City Center. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has identified a need to alleviate on- <br />street parking congestion in the neighborhoods surrounding <br />Lakewood City Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, FAST FOOD OPERATIONS, Inc., an Ohio corporation, is <br />the owner ~of a parcel of land bearing Permanent Parcel Number <br />314-01-03 abutting property owned by the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, FAST FOOD OPERATIONS, Inc. desires to transfer as a <br />gift a portion of said parcel to the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to accept this gift of real <br />property for purposes of developing a parking lot which will <br />alleviate on-street parking congestion in the neighborhoods <br />surrounding Lakewood City Center; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the <br />City, is hereby authorized to accept as a gift from FAST FOOD <br />OPERATIONS, Inc., an Ohio corporation, the deed to a portion of a <br />parcel of land bearing Permanent Parcel Number 314-01-03, more <br />fully described in attached Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Law is hereby authorized <br />and directed to cause said quit-claim deed to be filed and <br />recorded for record with the recorder of Deeds and Records of <br />Cuyahoga County. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved:~7, / ~ ?
