RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />6977-94 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Lakewood Division of Police <br />Officers for their participation and exceptional performance at <br />the International Law Enforcement Olympics;. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 6-13, 1994, Jan Hill, David Vet and <br />John Hess representing Lakewood Division of Police participated <br />in the International Law Enforcement Olympics in Birmingham, <br />Alabama; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, gold medals were earned by Jan Hill in four <br />marksman categories and David Vet for winning the one kilometer <br />sprint; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John Hess and Jan Hill were part of a four-man <br />Northeast Ohio squad that won gold medals in the team marksman- <br />ship competition in the large bore rifle class; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these officers of Lakewood's Division of <br />Police have, through their rigorous training, hard work, and <br />dedication, brought not only honor and distinction to themselves <br />and the entire community, but strong senses of security and <br />assurance to the people of Lakewood. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby <br />extend to Jan Hill, David Vet and John Hess its commendation, and <br />that of all the citizens of the Lakewood Community for their <br />outstanding achievement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be' and she is <br />hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to Chief Matthew Biscotti, 12650 Detroit Avenue, <br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
