RESOLUTION NO. 7027-95 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Barbara McGinty for her dedicated service as the Recycling Officer for the City of Lakewood during its fiscally favorable achievements . WHEREAS during her six year tenure in the Recycling Office Barbara McGinty has been the source of information, promotion and education regarding recycling; WHEREAS, Barbara McGinty is the direct link to the public regarding recycling education with her days consumed by phone questions from individual citizens, student visits and outreach to schools and community organizations; WHEREAS, another facet of her work includes continually seeking grant funds for innumerable environmental grants including recycling; WHEREAS, Barbara McGinty's involvement at meetings with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District regarding trends in the industry has reaped extra dollars into the City in the recent Newspaper Marketing Co Op; and WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that this achievement by the Recyling Office of the Administration of the City of Lakewood be given public cognizance and recognition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That on behalf of the residents of the City of Lakewood, this Council hereby-extends to Barbara McGinty, her Recycling Office and the Administration. its commendation and heartfelt congratulations. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Barbara McGinty, Recycling Officer, Department of Public Works, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107 and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
