Exhibit A, pg. 2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The proje~ consists of excavating a one foot deep trench in the lake bottom about 60 feet waterward of the toe of the bluff, setting a row of seven ton stones in the trench that will form a toe to retain concrete rubble that will be dumped landward of the toe stone, place filter fabric over the rubble to retain fine material, 'place a two foot thick by alS foot wide layer of medium stone at the bottom of the rubble as bedding for an about 15 foot wide layer of three to seven ton armor stone, cover the remainder of the rubble with topsoil and plant with crown vetch or other suitable Vegetation to retain the soil. AbOut 13,500 cubic yards of material will be used to construct the revetment. About 4,100 cubic yards .of the fill will be placed below DA jurisdiction which is ordinary high water (OHW) elevation 573.4 feet International Great Lakes Datum (IGLD) 1985. The applicant also proposes to construct a 15 foot wide pier out of concrete capped, stone filled, steel cribs extending about 30 feet waterward from the revetment. 'About 170 cubic yards of heavy stone will be used to fill the cribs. About 100 cubic yards of the stone will be placed below DA jurisdiction of OHW elevation 5?3.4 feet (IGLD 1985). The purpose of the project is to prevent further erosion of the bluff which will endanger the condominium building and to provide' the condo occupants access to the lake for fishing.
