RESOLUTION NO. 7047-95 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, <br /> Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Patrol Officer Patrick J. <br />Fiorilli, on being selected as one of two top DUI/DWI arresting <br />officers in the Division of Police of the Department of Public <br />Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Patrick J. Fiorilli, was selected by the <br />Lakewood Police Department along with officers from all <br />departments in the Greater Cleveland area and surrounding suburbs <br />for an honor by MADD on Sunday, April 30, 1995 at Windows On The <br />River for its fifth annual MADD SALUTES OUR BRAVE ROAD WARRIORS <br />ceremony; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the basis for which Officer Fiorilli was <br />nominated was his rank from among his peers for the highest <br />amount (twenty-five) of DUI/DWI arrests in 1994; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MADD states that all of their efforts would be <br />worthless if they were not nurtured and supported by the <br />dedicated and brave "road warriors" of which Patrick J. Fiorilli <br />is one Such law enforcement officer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is most a~propriate that the difference <br />made by Officer Fiorilli going above and beyond the call of duty <br />to make roads a safer place in Lakewood be given public <br />cognizance and recognition. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE'IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That on behalf of the residents of the City <br />of Lakewood, the Council and the Mayor hereby extend to <br />Patrol Officer Patrick J. Fiorilli their heartiest <br />congratulations and their sincere appreciation for his <br />outstanding dedicated service in law enforcement. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this resolution to Officer Patrick J. Fiorilli, c/o <br />Division of Police, Lakewood Municipal Building, and <br />that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
