RESOLUTION NO. 70S0-9S BY: Boscia, Flannery,'George, <br /> Gibbons. Roth, Seelie, Smith <br />A RESOLUTION commending City employee Geraldine Murphy for <br />her dedicated service to the City through the Community <br />Development Corporation of Lakewood and congratulating her on <br />receipt of the 1995 Director's Award from the Ohio Department of <br />Development. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Geraldine Murphy has been an employee of the City <br />of Lakewood for over eighteen years, beginning in February of <br />1976 as secretary to the Director of Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in her capacity as Administrator of the Community <br />Development Corporation of Lakewood (CDC) Ms. Murphy has served <br />the City through the operation of various housing and commercial- <br />property rehabilitation programs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood community has benefitted from Ms. <br />Murphy's dedication to CDC and its programs in that said programs <br />contribute substantially to the preservation and maintenance of <br />housing within the City and the revitalizat.ion of the City's <br />business districts; and. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Geraldine Murphy has been recognized for her <br />outstanding achievement in the economic development field by the <br />Ohio Department of Development through receipt of a 1995 <br />"Director's Award"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and'proper that the service rendered <br />by Geraldine Murphy to the City be given public cognizance and <br />recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend their <br />appreciation, and that of all citizens of the community, to <br />Geraldine Murphy for her dedicated service to the City through <br />her capacity as Administrator of the Community Development <br />Corporation of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Council and the Mayor, on behalf of <br />the City, hereby congratulates Geraldine Murphy for her receipt <br />of a 1995 "Director's Award" from the Ohio Department of <br />Development. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this <br />resolution to Geraldine Murphy, 32219 Dorchester Dr., Avon Lake, <br />Ohio 44012, and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon <br />the record. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
