,RESOLUTION NO. 7054-95 BY: Flannery, George, Roth, Seeiie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City, to file an application and enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of acquiring grant funds from the Division of Forestry's Urban Forestry Assistance Program, WHEREAS, quality of life in the. City is enhanced by the proper management of trees, shrubbery, and other urban forest resources; and :~"WHEREAS, the City recognizes the benefits managed and maintained urban forest resources; and of properly WHEREAS, funding for the purchase, installation, and care of trees and other urban forest resources is available through a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City, be and is hereby.authorized and directed to make application to the Ohio DePartment of Natural Resources for a grant through the Division of Forestry's- Urban Forestry Assistance Program. Section 2. That the Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City, be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry to receive and administer said grant funds; said agreement to be in a form and to contain such terms and conditions as deemed necessary by the Director of Law to protect the public interest. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
