RESOLUTION NO. 7060-95 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to <br />file an application and enter into an agreement with the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation's Office of Planning and <br />Environmental Services (ODOT) for the purpose of acquiring <br />Transportation Enhancement Program funds for a Clifton Boulevard' <br />project. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ohio Department of Transportation provides <br />financial assistance to municipalities in the State of Ohio for <br />transportation enhancement projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood desires financial <br />assistance through application for grant funds for the <br />improvement of Clifton Boulevard by planting, removing as <br />appropriate and pruning the trees along Clifton Boulevard to <br />enhance .highway beautification and scenic enjoyment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section t. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and <br />directed to file an application with the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation for $62,250 and if awarded to complete all <br />documentation as deemed by the Law Director to be in the public <br />interest for receiving these funds. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the City of Lakewood hereby requests <br />that the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Planning <br />and Environmental Services, consider its application to fund the <br />Clifton Boulevard Tree Canopy Project. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the City of Lakewood, Ohio hereby does <br />agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily complete <br />the proposed project and thus become eligible for Transportation <br />Enhancement Program funds. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That all formal actions of the Council <br />concerning and relating to the adoption of this Resolution were <br />held in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of the Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section'5. That this Resolution shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor at the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
