RESOLUTION NO. 7061-95 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION to commend Dr. Daniel M. Kalish his years of service with the Lakewood Public Schools; WHEREAS, upon his retirement, effective July 31, 1995, Dr. Kalish will complete 28 years in the Lakewood Schools, including teaching at Madison Elementary, as principal of Harrison Elementary, as ASsistant Superintendent of Schools, and most recently as Superintendent of Lakewood City Schools for 11 years; and WHEREAS, throughout the course of his career, Dr. Kalish has been recognized as an administrator with a talent for realizing ways to meet student needs, not only through his own vision, but also through listening to the thoughts of others; and WHEREAS, Dr. Kalish's appreciation for the diffedng natures of student needs allowed him to play an instrumental role in the development of several valuable and innovative Lakewood school programs including a team teaching program and the creation of the first computer consortium in Cuyahoga County; and WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Schools are truly a better place because of the service of Dr. Daniel M. Kalish; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor, hereby extend to Dr. Daniel M. Kalish its commendation, and that of all the citizens of the Lakewood Community for his 28 years of public service for the Lakewood Public Schools and further that this Council and the Mayor wish him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to Dr. Daniel M. Kalish, 1470 Warren Road, Lakewood, OH 44107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. PRESIDENT CLERK Approved: //~(~~ '/A.,' /
