RESOLUTION NO. 7068-95 BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing '~he Director of Public Works to file an application and enter into agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the. purpose of acquiring funds through the recycling and litter prevention fund pursuant to Chapter 1502 of the Ohio Revised Code. WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council recognizes the need to address recycling and/or litter prevention concerns within the boundaries of the City of Lakewood and the need to address this at a local level; and WHEREAS, the Department- of ,Natural Resources, Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention, allocates funding in the form of grants to supplement and not t replace local recycling and litter prevention programs, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1: That Lakewood City Council hereby endorse and support a 1996 Recycle, Ohio! Grant Program for the City of Lakewood and authorize the necessary matching funds to implement said program, if approved, as indicated in its application, Section 2: That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Department of N~tural Resources to implement said grant program, Section 3: That the Director of Public Works is hereby designated as .the Authorized Official and is thereby the official signatory for all grant documents, Section 4 That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning the adoption of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
