RESOLUTION NO. 7 0 8 5 - 9 5 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Flannery,Georg~ <br />Gibbons, Seelie, Snith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to formally recognize Building Commissioner Brian Moran's <br />actions which led to the construction of a garage for the ~ames Ash family of Olivewood <br />Avenue; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Ash worked on many housing projects, but was unable to <br />complete the construction of his garage after three years of extensions due to a series of health <br />problems; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Commissioner Moran, realizing that Mr. Ash's second extension <br />had expired, declined to force the Ash's to request another variance; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Commissioner Moran and Building Depa~axxent Ombudsman Yarid <br />Sahley asked area businesses and Lakewood High Vocational Education Department for <br />donations in money, labor and materials to build the new garage and within one day the goal <br />was reached; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the garage is now being built for the Ash family and will be a <br />symbol of the community spirit which exists not only throughout the City but also within our <br />outstanding Building Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the humanitarian efforts by Brian F. <br />Moran be given public recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to Brian F. Moran their <br />thanks for his compassion and ingenuity in solving what appeared to be an insurmountable <br />problem. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to-forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Building Commissioner Brian F. Moran, <br />Division of Building Inspection, Lakewood City Hall, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
