RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7086-95 <br /> <br />Boscia, Flannery, George <br />Gibbons, Seelie, Snith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to formally recognize Building Department Ombudsman Yarid <br />J. Sahley for his actions which led to the construction of a garage for the James Ash family of <br />Olivewood Avenue; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Ash worked on many housing projects, but was unable to <br />complete the construction of his garage after three years of extensions due to a series of health <br />problems; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Commissioner Moran and Building Department Ombudsman Yarid <br />Sahley asked area businesses and Lakewood High Vocational Education Depath~Lent for <br />donations in money, labor and materials to build the new garage and within one day the goal <br />was reached; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the garage is now being built for the Ash family and will be a <br />symbol of the community spirit which exists not only throughout the City but also within our <br />outstanding Building Department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the humanitarian efforts by Yarid ~. <br />Sahley be given public recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to Yarid J. Sahley their <br />thanks for his compassion and ingenuity in solving what appeared to be an insurmountable <br />problem. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward a cerfffied copy of this Resolution to Ombudsman X/arid ].
