RESOLUTION NO. 7164-96 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to change the location of the regular <br />meeting of Council scheduled for July 15, 1996, from Lakewood <br />City Hall to United Methodist Church Basement (Daniel's Dining <br />Room East). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council desires to engage City residents in <br />the operation of local government, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council believes the best manner in which to <br />encourage participation in local government is to periodically <br />hold Council meetings in each of these four (4) wards, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article III, Section 4 of the Amended Charter <br />of the City of Lakewood gives Council the authority to schedule <br />meetings by resolution; now, 'therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That pursuant to the authority of Article <br /> III, Section 4 of the Amended Charter of the City of <br /> Lakewood, the regular meeting of Council scheduled for <br /> July 15, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. be held at United Methodist <br /> Church basement (Daniel's Dining Room East), 15700 <br /> Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to give notice of the new meeting location <br /> as provided in Section 1 herein to the public and media <br /> in such manner as provided by the Codified Ordinances <br /> of the City of Lakewood and the law, and to the Mayor <br /> and all City departments. <br /> <br /> ' 3.
