RESOLUTION NO. 717S-90 <br /> <br />8¥: Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public <br />Works to file an application and enter into agreement with the Ohio Department <br />of Natural Resources for the purpose of acquiring funds through the recycling <br />and litter prevention fund pursuant to Chapter 1502 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council recognizes the need to address <br />recycling and/or litter prevention concerns within the boundaries of the City <br />of Lakewood and the need to address this at a local level; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of <br />Recycling and Litter Prevention, allocates funding in the form of grants to <br />supplement and not to replace local recycling and litter prevention programs. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF IAKE'WOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council hereby endorse and support <br />a 1996 Recycle, OhioJ Grant Program for the City of Lakewood and authorize the <br />necessary matching funds to implement said program, if approved, as indicated <br />in its application. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the City of Lakewood is hereby authorized to <br />enter into an agreement with the Department of Natural Resources to implement <br />said grant program. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby designated <br />as the Authorized Official and is thereby the official signatory for all grant <br />documents. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That it is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning the adoption of this resolution were <br />adopted in an open meeting.of this Council, and that all deliberations of this <br />Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br /> <br />meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> .~.~ President <br /> <br /> i~eyor <br /> <br />Approved:~ JuLY <br /> <br />legal requirements <br /> <br /> <br />
