111'4/9,6 Docket Item No. 6 <br /> <br />Fri. <br /> <br />11/1/96 <br /> <br />PLEASE SUBSTITUTB FOR RESOLUTION NO. 7190-96 <br />Referred to Public Works Cmte 10/7/96 and <br />originally submitted to Docket 10/51/96. <br /> <br />RESOIsUTION NO. 7190-96 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, <br />to seek financial assistance from the State Issue Two Infrastructure Bond <br />Program for fuoding of the 1997 Streets Reconstruction Program and Watermain <br />Replacement PrOgram. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VIII of the Ohio Constitution, the <br />State is authorized to issue bonds and other obligations of the State of Ohio <br />for the purpose of financing public infrastructure capital improvements of <br />political subdivisions as designated by law, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, the <br />District One Public Works Integrating Committee is authorized to accept, <br />evaluate, and recommend applications for state financing of capital <br />infrastructure improvement projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga <br />County, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, the <br />Director of the Ohio Public Works Commission is authorized to accept and <br />approve applications for state financing of capital infrastructure improvement <br />projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has conducted a capital inventory <br />and needs assessment and has determined that it is necessary and desirable to <br />apply for State Issue Two Infrastructure Bond Program funds for funding of the <br />1997 Streets ReConstruction Program and Watermain Replacement Program; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, is hereby <br />authorized to apply to the District ()ne Public Works Integrating Committee and <br />the Director o'f the Ohio Public Works Commission for financial assistance for <br />the following capital improvement projects: <br /> <br />A. Streets Reconstruction Program · Clifton Road (Subway/Clifton Blvd.) <br /> · Forest Road (Clifton Road/Dead End) <br /> <br />B. Watermain Replacement Program <br /> · Cove Avenue (Detroit/Clifton) <br /> · Park Row (Detroit/Sloane) <br /> · Edanola Avenue (Sloane/Sloane) <br /> · Athens Avenue (Halstead/Waterbury) <br /> City Halt West Drive <br /> · Lakewood Heights Blvd. (Bramley/Woodward) <br /> <br /> Section 2. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, is further <br />authorized to enter into any agreements as may be necessary and appropriate <br />for obtaining such funds; said agreements to contain such terms and conditions <br />and be in such form as the Director of Law deems necessary to protect the <br />public interest. <br /> <br /> <br />
