RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7195-96 <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Corrigan, <br />Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, <br />Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor Harry Remle for his 18 years service on the <br />Lakewood Commission on Aging; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Remle served as a liaison between the Division of Aging <br />and the community of the City of Lakewood keeping the City Administration and City <br />Council informed and advised of aging related service needs, programs and issues; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in addition, Mr. Remle reviewed, supported and monitored <br />the development and expansion of A New Day, Adult Care Center, and the Gingham <br />Goose; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Remle promoted intergenerational activities including <br />Community Leaf and Snow Service, Growing Healthy Together, Child-Elder Vocational <br />Program and Lakewood Community Care Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the expansion of the Lakewood Commission on Aging to <br />include the Divisions of Youth, Early Childhood and Health, all under the Department of <br />Human Services, was spearheaded by Mr. Remle; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by Mr. <br />Remle be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor hereby extend to the Harry <br />Remie its commendation, and that of all the citizens of the Lakewood community for his <br />valued and dedicated public service as a member of the Lakewood Commission on <br />Aging and further that this Mayor and Council wish him continued years of health, <br />happiness and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
