REFERRED TO FINANCE COMMITTEE 11/18/96. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7197-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION, authorizing the Director of Law to expend addition funds for <br />professional legal services relative to a proposed new Lease Agreement with Lakewood Hospital <br />Association ("LHA"). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7159-96, Lakewood City Council <br />previously authorized the Director of Law to enter into a professional services contract with <br />Calfee, Halter & Griswold, to provide professional legal services necessary for the negotiations <br />of a proposed new lease agreement with the Lakewood Hospital Association in an amount not to <br />exceed twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, additional legal services are necessary in excess of that author/zed <br />by Resolution No. 7159-96, in an additional amount not to exceed thirty,five thousand dollars <br />($35,000.00), in order to complete the transaction and protect the interests of the City of <br />Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood Hospital Association h~ agreexl to reimburse the City of <br />Lakewood for professional services relative to a proposed new lease agreement with LHA. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Director of Law is hereby authorized to expend additional funds <br />not to exceed an additional thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000.00), for professional legal <br />services with Calfee, Halter & Griswold, to protect.the City's interests in the proposed new lease <br />agreement between' the City and Lakewood Hospital Association. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were in meeting open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br />/qq <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
