McBride fbr her public service as a <br />Commissioner with and President of the City of Lakewood's Civil Service Commission. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Helen McBride, was appointed to the Civil Service Commission on <br />January 1, 1989 and served until February 14, 1997, and during her tenure with the <br />Commission Mrs. McBride served as President of the Commission for the year of 1996, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during this time Mrs. McBride provided this Commission with <br />effective and capable leadership, unselfishly gave her time and constantly used the skills <br />and expertise for which she is known to guide and assist the members of this Commission, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Helen McBride served on the Commission for over eight years as <br />provided law; now therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO; <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Mayor and Council extends to Helen M. McBride its <br />appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for her dedicated public <br />service and outstanding contributions to the City of Lakewood as a member and President <br />of the Lakewood Civil Service Commission and further that we wish her continued years <br />of health, happiness and prosperity in her new endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Helen M McBride, and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
