RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7229-97 <br /> <br />Boscia, BY: Corrigan, <br />Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, <br />Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend John L. Hoyt for his public service in the <br />Division of Police for the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement, effective April 6, 1996, John Hoyt <br />completed 27 years of public service in the Division of Police; these years included <br />service in Narcotics and Vice, the Detective Bureau and obtaining the rank of <br />Lieutenant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Division of Police, John Hoyt has <br />been recognized as a loyal and dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service <br />not only to the Department of Public Safety, but to the entire community as well; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by <br />John Hoyt be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Lieutenant John <br />L. Hoyt its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his 27 years <br />of public service as a Police Officer in the Division of Police of the City of Lakewood <br />and further that this Council and Mayor wish him continued years of health, happiness <br />and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to John L.
