RESOLUTION NO. 7 2 4 6 = 9 7 <br /> <br />BY: Bos¢ia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending sincere appreciation to RITE AID <br />Corporation for awarding the City of Lakewood a $2,500 contribution to <br />underwrite a Protective Helmet Bank for Lakewood children. <br /> <br /> WI-I. ERE/kS, the City of Lakewood in their ongoing effort to ensure <br />a safe and healthy environment for the Youth of the community adopted a <br />helmet safety law, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Rite Aid Corporation helped ensure the safety of many <br />Lakewood Children by offering to allay the cost of purchasing helmets,' and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, helmets often retail for a minimum of $20.00 wherebv <br />Rite Aid's donation allowed the City to provide helmets to eligible families for <br />as little as $3.50, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council commends Rite Aid for this generous <br />donation; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE iT RESOLVED BY THE crrY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to Rite Aid <br />Corporation appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for <br />their $2,500 contribution to preserving the health and safety of Lake~,ood <br />children through the promotion of bicycle helmet safety. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is herebv authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution ~o Rite Aid <br />Corporation and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
