RESOLUTION NO. 7252-97 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith A Resolution honodng The Lakewood Community Festival volunteers in recognition of their dedication and service to the community as they celebrate their loth anniversary. WHEREAS, the festival volunteers encourage the entire community to join them in Madison Park for this celebration of ethnic traditions by presenting traditional ethnic music, fine ethnic foods prepared by local residents and children's games and activities, and WHEREAS, the festival is a strong commitment of pride in this community and the Festival Committee does an outstanding job of bringing residents together for the Kielbasa Run and a day long celebration rich in ethnic tradition, and WHEREAS, in honor of its tenth anniversary, festival proceeds have been used to purchase two community picnic tables for use in Madison Park, and over the past ten years proceeds have been donated to Hardson School, Lakewood Christian Service Center and the Madison Branch Library's computer fund, and WHEREAS, the Lakewood Community Festivat continues to have a positive impact on this community; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor and Council extend to the Lakewood Community Festival volunteers their appreciation, and the appreciation of all of the citizens of Lakewood for their outstanding contribution to the promotion of Lakewood's dch cultural diversity. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the Lakewood Community Festival Volunteer Committee and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
