RESOLUTION NO. 7302-98 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor. on behalf of the City, to declare <br />April 28. 1998, "Health and Human Services Day" in the City of Lakewood ~n support of <br />Issue 3. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the residents of Cuyahoga County are asked to replace a 4.4 mill <br />Health and Human Services levy with a 3.1 mill levy on the May 5, 1998, (primary ballot); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this levy (Issue 3) provides much needed services to one out of <br />every four Cuyahoga County residents, both urban and suburban, including many people in <br />Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of Issue 3 is less than $2 per week for the owner of an <br />average home in Cuyahoga County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the primary recipients of services provided by Issue 3 are children <br />and families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Issue 3 servmes are available to anyone who needs help, <br />especially in times of crisis or trauma; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, services like the MetroHealth Bum Unit and Life Flight can <br />Prevent tragedies and save lives; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, passage of Issue 3 will maintain a critical safety net for the <br />citizens of Lakewood and all of Cuyahoga County; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the City of Lakewood declares April 28, 1998, as "Health and <br />Human Services Day" in the City of Lakewood in support of Issue 3. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ResolutiOn were adopted in an open meeting of <br />this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to/~ublic in compliance wi~ all legal <br />requirements, <br /> <br /> President <br /> <br />Approved: ~~ ~//??/ <br /> <br />Clerk/~ . <br /> <br /> <br />
