RESOLUTION NO. 731Z-98 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Plannery, George, <br /> Roth, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize our nations peace <br />officers during NATIONAL POLICE WEE}( i998. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May loth through tlne <br />l&th has been designated as NATIONAL POLICE WEEK 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, May 15th, im National Peace <br />Officers' Memorial Day ~Jhen we honor those who have made the <br />ultimate sacrifice; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS: it is fitting and proper that the <br />public service rendered by the members of the Lakewood <br />Division of F'olic~ and peace officers nationally be given <br />public cognizance and recognition during this time; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> <br /> Section 1: That thi= Council and Mayor, <br />hereOy extend to the members of the Lakewood Division of <br />Police and peace officers across the nation its appreciation <br />for their public service. <br /> <br /> Section ~: That the Clerk c.f Council be and <br />she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified <br />cop,/ of this Resolution to the Division of Police and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
