RESOLUTION NO. 7 317 - 9 8 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Plannery, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Madeline Cain on receiving the Dean's <br />Distinguished Alumni Award from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban <br />Affairs, Cleveland State University. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Dean's Distinguished Alumni Award is presented <br />annually to the person who has excelled in his or her career and has demonstrated <br />dedication to community service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Madeline Cain has demonstrated her commitment to <br />community service through her work as a teacher, Clerk of Council/Legislative Aide <br />for Lakewood City Council, administrator for the Cuyahoga County Board of <br />Commissioners, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Madeline has been an elected official for more than Inn years, <br />representing residents of Lakewood as a State Representative and Mayor of the City, <br />and ' <br /> <br /> WI-IE~, Madeline Cain is a member of the Board of Trus~ of <br />Lakewood Hospital, Malachi House, Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, Lakewood <br />Business and Professional Women, the Citizens League, and the City Club; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends its commendation, and that of all <br />residents of the Lakewood community, to Madeline Cain on her receipt of the <br />prestigious Dean's Distinguished Alumni Award. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />d~ to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Honorable Madeline A. <br />Cain, Mayor of the City of Lakewood, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, <br />and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />l~resident ' <br /> <br /> <br />
