PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR Resolution NO. 7353-98 <br />SUBMITTED WITH THIS EVENING'S DOCKET. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 73s3-98 <br /> <br />BY: Flannery, George, Roth, <br /> Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Alan J. Davis for 50 years of <br />minish-y and community service. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Alan Davis retired as Pastor of the Lakewood <br />Christian Church on November 22,1998, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his retirement marked the conclusion of 50 years of <br />ministry and community service in Lakewood and the Greater Cleveland area, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, through his ministry, Dr. Davis has confronted issues <br />of crime, housing, education, poverty, health care and race, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dr. Alan Davis has brought a sense of hope to <br />hundreds of individuals during his many years of service; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, for and on behalf of the <br />citizens of Lakewood, hereby congratulate Dr. Alan J. Davis, upon his <br />retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Dr. Alan J.
