RESOLUTIONNO 7363-98 BY' Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skinde11, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION to change the next Regular Meeting of Council <br />from the third Monday of January, 1999 to Tuesday, January 19, 1999. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Article Iii., Section 4. of the Amended Char~er of <br />the City of Lakewoo~d, the third Monday of January, 1999 is celebrated by the City of Lakewood <br />as Ma[tin Luther King, Jr Day, a legal holiday; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-90, adopted on Apd116, I990, provides for Martin <br />Luther King, Jr Day as a legal holiday in the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is generally provided that when an official date for taking of such <br />action under law falls upon a declared holiday, the date for such action shall be the next <br />following day; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution consti[utes an emergency measure providing for the <br />immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the usual daily operation <br />of municipality; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council establish that Tuesday, January 19, 1999, is the <br />next regularly scheduled meeting of City Council in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr <br />Holiday in the City of Lakewood <br /> <br /> sect[on 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />co,~ceming and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an operi meeting of <br />this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its commiffees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon ES adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after <br />the eadiest pedod allowed by law <br /> <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
