RESOLUTION NO. 7441-99 BY: FitzGerald, George, <br /> <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindeli, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor Lakewood High School Boys' Cross Country <br />Team Member Lucas Dorsch for bis outstanding achievements during the 1999 Cross <br />Comltry Season. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the LHS Boys' Cross Country program has finished the <br />century with statewlde recognition as the number one cross country team in Ohio, based <br />on State Meet f~dshes, since 1928; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this year's Boys' Cross Ceuntry Team continued a tradition <br />of excellence by wirming the OHSAA District and Reg~onat meets and qualifying for <br />tile State meet in Columbus on November 6thI and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the outstanding 12th place finish of Lucas Do~sch (15:58) <br />earned hhn due recognil~on on the awards podium at Scioto Downs as an All-Ohio <br />rmmer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lucas Dorsch's sense of ~an, camaraderie and affability on <br />and off the track field mark his place amaug great athletes and great citizens in this <br />conmlmldty, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by his remarkable athletic accomplishments and good <br />sportsmanship, with the expert guidance of h~s dedicated coach, Rick Ventura. Lucos <br />Dorsch has brought position, recognition and honor, not only to himself, but to the <br />entLee conununlty; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That we honor Lakewood High School Boys' Cross Country <br />Team Member Lucas Dorsch for his outstanding athletic arbievement during the 1999 <br />Cross Countxy Season, <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be alld she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to'forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Me.
