RESOLUTION NO. 7 4 7 6 - 0 0 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Lakewood Police Department Patrol Officer Jan <br />M. Hill for his public service in the City of Lakewood. Upon his retirement effective April 1, <br />2000, Patrol Officer Hill completed over 27 years of public service in the Division of Police; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his career he was a state certified firearms instructor on <br />multiple weapons, served as departmental armorer, whose responsibility it was to maintain <br />weaponry, was the liaison to the Auxiliary Police, a member of the Westshore Enforcement <br />Bureau Tactical Unit (SWAT) and received recognition as a multiple medal winner in several <br />shooting events during the Police Olympics; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Police Department Patrol <br />Officer Hill was recognized as a loyal and dedicated employee who rendered outstanding service <br />to the Division of Police and to the entire community. The performance of his duties and <br />dedicationresponsibilities, to getting and the his job working Well done; relationships and were always characterized by an obvious <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Hill's dedicated interest and devotion to law <br />enforcement was always apparent and we wish to extend to him our sincere appreciation for his <br />outstanding performance of duty, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is titling and proper that the dedicated public service rendered by <br />Patrol Officer Jan M. Hill be given public cognizance and recognition. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Patrol Officer Jan M. <br />Hill its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his 27 years of public <br />service for the City of Lakewood and further that this Council and Mayor wish him continued <br />years of health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Patrol Officer Jan M.
