' <br /> <br />Roth, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to establish the date of May 31, 2000 for <br />recommendations on The .An~en__d_ed Cha~- O~ the City O~ Lakewood from the <br />Lakewood Community Governance Task Force to be submitted to City Council for <br />final review. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the submission date of May 1, 2000 would no~ allow <br /> -adequate time for the Lakewood Community Governance Task Force fo fulfill its duty <br /> to completely review The Amended Charta_r of the City of Lakewood and rewlite, <br /> reor§an/ze and update file document, if necessary, and <br /> <br /> I4rI-IEREAS, the Charter Review Commission, in its report to City <br /> Council, recommended the formation of the Lakewood Community Governance Task <br /> Force to complete the work that the Commission stalted, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, neither the quality nor breadth of the Lakewood Community <br /> Governance Task Force's objective should be compromised or limited due to the <br /> imminence of a May 1, 2000 deadline, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood, one of the <br /> City's most imporiant governing documents, is being thoroughly reviewed by the <br /> Lakewood Community Governance Task Force, a body of nine (9) dedicated, talented <br /> and volunteer residents; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Lakewood Community Governance Task Force <br /> submit its recommendations on ~The Amended Charto~_~ of the City of Lakewood to City <br /> Council on or before May 31, 2000 for final review. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
