RESOLUTION NO. 7484-00 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Lakewood Division of Police Captain James <br />Bielozer for his public service in the City of Lakewood. Upon his retirement effective May 5 <br />2000, Captain James Bielozer completed over 33 years of public service in the Division of <br />Police; and <br /> WHEREAS, during his career with the Lakewood Division of Police Captain <br />James Bielozer was recognized as a loyal and dedicated employee who rendered outstanding <br />service to the community. The performance of his duties and responsibilities, his working <br />relationship were always characterized by an obvious dedication to getting the job well done; and <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the City of Lakewood Division of Police, <br /> Captain Bielozer's devotion to law enforcement was always apparent. He received six <br /> commendations for his actions, including the Exceptional Service Medal. He was hired as a <br /> police cadet in 1967 and worked his way through the ranks as a Patrol Officer, Patrol <br /> Investigator, served in the Investigative Division before being appointed Sergeant in 1978, <br /> Lieutenant in 1984 and Captain in 1990, Captain Bielozer was elected chairman of the FOP#25 <br /> Negotiating Committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, Captain Bielozer is a very intelligent, insightful and dedicated <br /> officer who has made a tremendous contribution to the success of the Lakewood Division of <br /> Police. Many of his fellow officers have benefited from his broad knowledge and experience; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Captain James Bielozer's dedicated interest and devotion to law <br /> enforcement has had a valuable effect of efficiency and morale in this City and we wish to extend <br /> to him our sincere appreciation for his outstanding performance of duty; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the dedicated public service rendered by <br /> Captain James Bielozer be given public cognizance and recognition; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Captain James Bielozer <br /> its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his 33 years of publi~ service <br /> for the City of Lakewood and further that this Council and Mayor wish him continued years of <br /> health, happiness and prosperity in his retirement. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Captain James Bielozer and that a copy of this <br /> Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> ~u~.¥OR <br /> <br /> <br />
