Section 7. That pursuant to Section 3 of Article XlV of the Amended <br />Charter of the City of Lakewood, the Director of Finance of this City be and is <br />hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file with this Council the <br />estimated assessments of the cost of the improvement described in this <br />Resolution. When such estimated assessments have been so filed, said <br />Director of Finance shall cause notice of the adoption of this Resolution and <br />the filing of said estimated assessments as provided in Section 4 of said <br />Article XIV. <br /> <br /> Section 8. That the assessments to be levied shall be paid in ten (10) <br />semiannual installments, provided that the owner of any property assessed <br />may, at their option, pay such assessment in cash within thirty (30) days <br />after receipt of the City's invoice. <br /> <br /> Section 9. That the remainder of the entire cost of said improvements <br />after application of the assessments herein provided, shall be paid by the <br />City in a manner provided by law. <br /> <br />Is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That it is necessary to improve the following streets in the <br />City of Lakewood: <br /> <br /> Alger Road (Arden Ave. to Lakewood Heights Blvd.) <br /> <br /> Section 2. That said Alger Road (Arden Ave. to Lakewood Heights <br /> Blvd.) shall be improved in accordance with specifications hereinafter <br /> referred to and now on file in the office of the City Engineer that describe the <br /> deep grind of the existing asphalt surface course and the replacement of <br /> same with reinforced asphalt pavement. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is hereby determined and declared that said <br /> improvement is conducive to the public health, convenience and welfare of <br /> said City and the inhabitants thereof. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the plans, specifications and estimates of the <br /> proposed improvements heretofore prepared and now on file in the office of <br /> the City Engineer are hereby approved. <br /> <br /> Section 5. That the entire cost of said improvements shall be paid by <br />the City in a manner provided by law. <br /> <br /> Section 6. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
