RESOLUTION NO. 74 9 6 - 0 0 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. A ~LUTION to change the next Regular Meeting of Council from the first Monday of September, 2000, to Tuesday, September 5, 2000, due to the Labor Day holiday. WHEREAS, in accordance with Attide III, Section 4 of the Amended Charter of the City of Lakewood, Council may prescribe the time and date for Regular City Council Meetings, and WHEREAS, the date generally pn-~scribed by City Council for Regular Meetings is the first and third Monday of every month, and WHEREAS, the first Monday of September, 2000, is celebrated by the City of Lakewood as Labor Day, a legal holiday, and IsrIffE~, it is generally provided that when an official date for taking of such action under law falls upon a declared holiday, the date of such action shall be the next following day; now, there, fore, BE 1T RESOLVED BY 2I-IE CITY OF LAI<~WOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council establ/shes that Tuesday, September 5, 2000, is the next regularly scheduled meeting of City Council in honor of Labor Day in the City of Lakewood. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of t/tis Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deh"oerations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. . Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law.
