RESOLUTION NO. 74 9 6 - 0 0 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, <br />Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A ~LUTION to change the next Regular Meeting of Council from the <br />first Monday of September, 2000, to Tuesday, September 5, 2000, due to the Labor Day <br />holiday. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Attide III, Section 4 of the Amended <br />Charter of the City of Lakewood, Council may prescribe the time and date for Regular <br />City Council Meetings, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the date generally pn-~scribed by City Council for Regular <br />Meetings is the first and third Monday of every month, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the first Monday of September, 2000, is celebrated by the City <br />of Lakewood as Labor Day, a legal holiday, and <br /> <br /> IsrIffE~, it is generally provided that when an official date for taking of <br />such action under law falls upon a declared holiday, the date of such action shall be the <br />next following day; now, there, fore, <br /> <br /> BE 1T RESOLVED BY 2I-IE CITY OF LAI<~WOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council establ/shes that Tuesday, September 5, 2000, is <br />the next regularly scheduled meeting of City Council in honor of Labor Day in the City of <br />Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of t/tis Resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deh"oerations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. . <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
