RESOLUTION NO. 7512-00 <br /> BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize Barbara McGinty, GaJl HiggJns, the Lakewood Schools <br /> and the citizens of Lakewood for their commitment to the solid waste management and <br /> recycling efforts of the City of Lakewood, Cuyahoga County and State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Barbara McGinty, Gail HJggins and the Lakewood Schools support efforts <br /> by the City, County and State to implement cost-effective and environmentalJy safe solid waste <br /> management practices by providing a variety of recycling education and collection Programs; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood was recognized by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste <br /> District in September 2000 for collecting more scrap tires for recycling than any other <br /> community during the County-wide tire round-up; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood was recognized by the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste <br /> District in August 2000 Ibr again collecting the most phone books during the District's 8th Annual <br /> Phone Book'Recycling Campaign; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood consistently leads recycling efforts in the State of Ohio <br /> andWith recycling Programs and educational Presentations in collaboration with Lakewood Schools; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 1, 2000 the City of Lakewcod is expanding its curbside <br /> recycle efforts to include all residential paper products; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor hereby recognize and congratulate our own <br />Barbara McGinty, Gail Higgins, the Lakewood Schools and citizens of Lakewood; <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to recognize Barbara McGinty, Gail Higgins and the <br />Lakewood Schools and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />P4'~s ~d/e~t <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
