RESOLUTION NO. 7~39-o~ <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Chief o/Police, <br />on behalf of the City, to accept an expend grant funds from the Bureau of <br />dustice Assistance for the purpose of purchasing a conmaunity <br />notification system through the LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT AWARD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />AWARD is allocated to units of local government to underwrite projects to <br />reduce crime and improve public safety <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety, Division of <br />Police, will receive $23,820 to purchase a community notification system <br />to achieve those ends. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAIZ-~EWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Chief of Police, on behalf of the City, be <br />and is hereby authorized and directed to accept an award from the <br />Bureau of dustice Assistance for receipt of funds for the purchase of a <br />community notification system through the LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT AWARD <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this CounciI concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution <br />were adopted ,in an open meeting of this Council, and that ail such <br />deliberation of the Council and any of its committees that resulted in <br />such formal action were in meetings open to the public and in <br />compliance ~vith all legal requirements <br /> <br />Adopted:~~ ~.~ ~2ff-~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
