RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7612-01 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Rots <br /> Seelie, Skindel~, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION honoring Councilwoman at Large Para Smith' for her dedicated <br />service to the citizens of Lakewood, Ohio. <br /> <br /> WttEREAS, the members of Lakewood City Council are pleased to honor <br />Councilwoman at Large Para Smith for her loyal and outstanding service to the citizens of the <br />City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during her twelve years as a Councilwoman at Large, Para Smith <br />chaired Council's Public Works and Housing Committees and served as a member of the <br />Finance Committee and as a Council representative on the Board of Trustees of <br />Lakewood Hospital; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in all of her endeavors as a member of the Lakewood City Council, Para <br />Smith has fulfilled her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Conducting <br />herself in the highest traditions of local government, she has demons~ated ~remendous initiative, <br />ability and'determination and has effectively served the citizens of the City of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> ~rHEREAS, Para Smith has worked diligently to uphold the finest traditions of <br />American politics. 'Her love of Lakewood and her sincere desire to serve the public to the <br />best of her ability have distinguished her as a truly concerned and responsible citizen, as <br />well as an active and devoted public servant; and, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That in adopting this Resolution this Council commend Lakewood <br />Councilwoman at Large for her exemplary work as a member of Lakewood City Council and, in <br />so doing, pay tribute to one of Lakewood's finest citizens; and <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to transmit this resolution to Lakewood CouncilWoman at Large Para Smith and that a <br />copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the l~ssage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the p~blic in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~/~,. / ?1 2o0/ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
