RESOLUTION: 7615-02 BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. A RESOLUTION honoring the memory of Rocky River Mayor Don Umerley. WHEREAS, The Administration, City Council and the citizens of the City of Lakewood Were greatly grieved to learn of the death of Rocky River Mayor Don Umefley; and, WHEREAS, Mayor Don Umerley justly earned the respect, admiration and high regard of all.with whom he came into contact and the community of Rocky River has sustained a great loss in his death; and, WHEREAS, As a man, and as an official, Mayor Umerley leaves behind him a memorial of good citizenship and dedicated performance of his duties as Mayor of Rocky River. He was at all times courteous and considerate of the welfare of others, and performed faithfully and efficiently the duties of his office; and, WHEREAS, this Administration and Council speaking on behalf of all our citizens extend to Mayor Umerley's wife and family our sincere sympathy in this hour of their deep bereavement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor recognize ,the contributions made by Mayor Don Umerley and offers to his family this sincere expression of condolence. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authoriZed and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the family of Mayor Don Umerley and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of.the meeting. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
