RESOLUR/ON NO. 7621-02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Doan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing appreciation to staff members of the <br />Lakewood Public Library for providing the City of Lakewood an outstanding <br />website since 1996. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, spurred by a solemn respect for our city founder's charge to <br />make democracy stronger by getting knowledge and information to our citizenry, <br />the staff members at the Lakewood Public Library Technology Center have made <br />our community more aware of its culture, schools and the many good things <br />government can dc, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, munching on megabytes and moving the mouse to sculpt <br />cyberspace, they launched Lakewoodians into the world of government and <br />citizen-action, doing it with truthfulness and unvarnished honesty-our city's <br />most prized virtues, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, they have personalized and publicized city services with <br />photos and anecdotes; have painstakingly provided our populace with, for <br />example, the entire Code Book on line (alas, reams of cryptic codes!) reducing the <br />workloads for co-workers by disseminating data in mach-speed to accountant, <br />acupunctmist, attorney and architect, all the while saving labor, mailing and <br />printing costs for taxpayers, quickening the flow of interoffice information-for our <br />safety, sanitation, and serenity; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE ~ OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That our great City of Lakewood bestows its most <br />profound appreciation to Nora Blackrnan, John Guscott, Clark Herniman, Mary <br />EHen Stasek, and Chanel Steiner, for elevating public service to its most noble <br />level in an attitude of helping others. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Lakewood Public <br />Library TechnolOgy Center c/o Director of Library Ken Warren and that a copy of <br />this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Vice President <br /> <br />Adopted~~ / ~2! 20 O 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
