RESOLUTION NO. 7626-02 BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Sktndell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION commending Thomas C. Sutton for pUblic service as a member of the <br />Lakewood Planning Commission from .lanuary 1, 1996 through December 31, 2001. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas C. Sutton was appointed by the Mayor of the City of Lakewood as <br />a member of the Lakewood Planning Commission, for a six-year term, serving one year as Vice- <br />Chairman; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, .during his tenure as a member of the Lakewood Planning Commission, Dr. <br />Sutton participated in the Berea Road/West 117~ Street Study; the Main Street Study; and the Master <br />Plan for Lakewood Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure as a member of the Lakewood Planning Commission, Dr. <br />Sutton participated in several amendments to the Zoning Code in particular the Sexually OrienteO <br />Business Chapter; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure as a member of the Lakewood Planning Commission, Dr. <br />Sutton was recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected Commission member who gave <br />liberally of his Ume, talents and energies to the preservation and future development of Lakewood; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by <br />Dr. Sutton be given public cognizance and recogniUon; now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to Thomas C. Sutton their <br />appreciation for the valued and dedicated public service as a member of the Lakewood Planning <br />Commission, and that of all citizens of this community 'n an expression of appreciation by this public <br />recognition. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Thomas C. Sutton, 131~, Lakewood Avenue, Lakewood, <br />Ohio ~1~107, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeUng. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of this Counci and any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal actions, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal .requirements. <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
