RESOLUTION: 7632-02 BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. A RESOLUTION honoring the memory of United States Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak, veteran of the Korean War. WHEREAS, The Administration, City Council and the citizens of the City of 'Lakewood were greatly grieved to learn of the death of Lakewood resident and involved citizen, Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak; and, WHEREAS, Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak justly earned the respect, admiration and high regard of all .with whom he came into contact and the community of Lakewood has sustained a great loss in his death; and, WHEREAS, Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak was a valuable member of the City of Lakewood Veteran, s Day Advisory Committee and most recently the COmrnittee for the Commemoration of the $0~ Anniversary of the Korean War and and served as Master of Ceremonies for the observance. WHEREAS, this Administration and Council speaking on behalf of all our citizens extend to Edward M. Sunyak's wife and family our sincere sympathy in this hour of their deep bereavement. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor recognize the contributions made by Edward M. Sunyak and offers to his family this sincere expression of condolence. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the family of Edward M. Sunyak and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were m meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
