RESOLUTION: 7632-02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION honoring the memory of United States Brigadier General <br />Edward M. Sunyak, veteran of the Korean War. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Administration, City Council and the citizens of the City of <br />'Lakewood were greatly grieved to learn of the death of Lakewood resident and involved citizen, <br />Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak justly earned the respect, <br />admiration and high regard of all .with whom he came into contact and the community of <br />Lakewood has sustained a great loss in his death; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brigadier General Edward M. Sunyak was a valuable member of the <br />City of Lakewood Veteran, s Day Advisory Committee and most recently the COmrnittee for the <br />Commemoration of the $0~ Anniversary of the Korean War and and served as Master of <br />Ceremonies for the observance. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Administration and Council speaking on behalf of all our <br />citizens extend to Edward M. Sunyak's wife and family our sincere sympathy in this hour of <br />their deep bereavement. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor recognize the contributions made by <br />Edward M. Sunyak and offers to his family this sincere expression of condolence. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the family of Edward M. Sunyak and that a copy <br />of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were m meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
