<br /> A RESOLUTION supporting the Lakewood City School District 6.9 Mill Operating
<br />Levy.

<br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Schools have kept their promises made in the 1995 Contract
<br />with the Community and the 1999 levy campaign; and '
<br />
<br /> V~IiER~AS, the school levy is about providing quality.teachers, up to date text hooks
<br />and classroom materials, and student academio achievements; and
<br />
<br /> WHI~.REAS, the strength of our Lakewood Corem .1~. depends upon strong schools
<br />where children have the teachers and tools they need to succeed m school and beyond; and
<br /> WHEREAS, our school district has used its funds efficiently and effectively, ~ ~
<br />proactive in Saving and reducing, costs for .utilities, ' ~.ms~ance ,and.tl~ough gr?up purchasing,
<br />~emain on a tight budget, and vall be required to continue to 1oo1~ tor ways to save money even
<br />when this levy is approved; and
<br />

<br /> WHEREAS, approval of. the levy will provide our schools with less than 2.7% average
<br />annual increase in revenue over the next three years: and
