RESOLUTION NO. 7657-02 BY: Corrigan, Dunn, George, Roth <br /> Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The City of Lakewood Division of Police and <br />all peace officers during National Police Week 2002. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May 12th through May 18th has been designated as National <br />Police Week, 2002; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, May 15th is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day when we honor those <br />who have made the ultimate sacrifice .and recognize those' who work daily to protect and serve <br />the citizens of our community; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by the members of <br />the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers nationally be given public cognizance and <br />recognition during this time; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the members of the <br />Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across the nation its appreciation for their public <br />service. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authOrized and directed <br />to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Division of Police and that a copy of this <br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting Of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted <br />in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: 7/f/~.~ L ~0d .,~ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CLERK ~~.~/~ <br />MAYOR ,/ <br /> <br /> <br />
